1. Why did you want to become a wrestler to begin with?
I just started watching wrestling when I was younger, and just instantly fell in love with it. I was mesmerized by all the wonderful moves, the fantastic gear that the wrestlers would wear, and the amazing characters that you would only see in wrestling. I knew after watching my first few thing wrestling shows, that this is what I wanted to be a part of.
2. Is there any female wrestler you watched that you wanted to model yourself against?
When I started there was no-one I really wanted to model myself against, but as I have grown as a wrestler, I have started to look up to AJ Lee and Mickey James. For the reason that AJ Lee is a similar size to me, and how she has go the crazy, energetic side to her, like me. And just seeing someone like that in the WWE, makes me believe I can do anything. And Mickey James as well, for similar reasons, she is also energetic and crazy. And they both have similar moves to me. I look up to both of them a lot.
3. What do you think of women’s wrestling today compared to 10-20 years ago?
In my opinion, women’s wrestling has grown, compared to ten-twenty years ago. But there are a good deal of women wrestlers around today, that are only there to be around the men, and to get there few minutes of fame, and not because they have a passion for it. But, in saying this, there a great deal of women wrestlers who do have the passion, and are being acknowledged because of this, with the introduction of wrestling promotions now, being based on all women’s wrestling, such as Shimmer, Shine and, in Australia, PWWA and the newly formed, Riot City Chicks.
4. Do you think women’s wrestlers get taken more seriously as the men do or are still seen as just eye candy?
In my opinion, there are some people that do take women’s wrestling seriously, such as the people that manage and support the women’s promotions, which I have mentioned. But there are still a lot of wrestling promotions, who still look at the women as ‘Eye Candy’, and not as somebody who can do just as good a job as the men.
5. Who have you enjoyed working with so far in your career?
So far I have enjoyed wrestling against Savannah Summers and Michelle K Hasluck. Savannah because she was one of the people who mentored me before I got a match, and I looked up to her, so wrestling her was just an amazing experience for me, because I have learnt so much from her, and she is an amazing female wrestler. Michelle because she is also an amazing wrestler, she is someone who I have never trained with, unlike everyone else I have wrestled against, and she is so experienced, so I got to learn so much in my match against her.
6. Who do you hope to work with in the future?
In the future I would love to wrestle Shazza McKenzie and Kellie Skater, because they are so experienced, they are such amazing wrestlers and they have also wrestled internationally, which I believe would help me to learn so much more about my abilities as a wrestler. But someone I would really, really, love to wrestle against would be Madison Eagles, because she is, in my opinion, the queen of Australian wrestling, I look up to her a lot, she is someone that is well known around the world, and it would just be such an amazing experience to wrestle someone like that.
7. Which female wrestler do you see as being underrated?
I have always loved Layla and Alicia Fox, and in my opinion these two women are fantastic wrestlers, but they do not get used as much as they should. In my opinion, people should be taking more notice of these women.
8. Where has been your favorite place to wrestler so far?
So far I have loved wrestling in PWWA, in Sydney, because this is a promotion which is run by Madison Eagles, and as I have said before, I look up to her. Because of this experience, I got to meet all of these wonderful women wrestlers in Australia, who I had not had the chance to meet before, and I got to learn so much from this fantastic experience, from watching all these amazing girls. And because of this experience, I also got to show these girls what I can do. And hopefully because of this, fans also got to see what I can do.
9. Do you have any long term goals in wrestling?
My long term goal is to travel with wrestling, and I would love to one day make it either the WWE or TNA, and if not, one of the big wrestling companies in the world. My main goal is to try my best, and make sure that when my career is over, I know that I did the absolute best that I could do, and ended up making it as far as I could go.
10. In a dream match sceanario who would your opponent be?
My dream match scenario would be to wrestle my idol, AJ Lee, for the WWE Divas championship. In my opinion this would be a fantastic match, because we have similar move sets, and have a similar personality, and because we are the same size, I think it would be an amazing match to watch. It would be amazing if I was able to have my tag team partner Brad Smyth ringside for the match as well, because he has helped me so much in my career so far and I can’t imagine wrestling without him by my side, he is definitely the big brother I never had.
